When I stepped foot into my first astrology class, I was looking for the ingredients to the alchemy of life.
(Yes, those were actually the words I thought. AND I did not think that was intense or abnormal at all)!
I must have channeled some past memory of a witch mixing her ingredients in a cauldron to come up with some magical result because all I could think about with astrology is that it must be like a recipe book. I just needed to learn how energies mixed to create certain manifestations.
Well, it turned out astrology is much more complicated than to give definite answers for most things. And at the same time, there are certain trends and archetypes that I’ve learned to expect from an astrological moment. Like New Moons in Libra (this Thursday)!
I was right about one thing, though – the ingredients!
Basically when you read astrology, what you do is break down the “pie” of the chart into its “ingredients” or parts.
Each part has a life of its own. It’s the orchestration of the whole that makes things manifest according to the consciousness of the individual in question. That’s why twins or those born at the same moment can experience very different lives.
It’s in this frame of ingredients in how we’re going to explore the Libra New Moon together in This Week’s Considerations. But first!
Setting Intentions: Manipulation vs. Co-Creation
A couple weeks ago in meditation, I had the profound realization of the difference of manipulation and co-creation.
See, you can be in harmony with your environment – get the know the plants, the animals, the climate, all of it… and then it’s how you use this accumulated knowledge.
You can use your knowledge to create desired results you want. This sounds awesome until you realize how it toes on the act of being “god-like.” The tower of Babel shows us how well that mindset ultimately will lead you. Personally, I don’t want the responsibility of caring for all of Creation’s well-being. So…
Other option is that you can use your knowledge to live and exist in your environment. You create the peace and harmony you desire for the world by being a part of it.
That means you are giving and nurturing the earth and its creatures, but you also are receiving from it without forcing it, manipulating it, or taking from it.
Receiving just happens because that’s the natural flow of co-creation. You can see that explained through the modern-day Law of Attraction to the ancient understanding of the Yin-Yang.
That natural flow of giving and receiving is co-creation.
It is from co-creation that I want you set your intentions.
It takes a pure mind and pure heart, which is a lifelong process. But really try to show up as your best self when choosing your ingredients for this month’s New Moon Intentions.
It’s not about getting what you deserve or righting wrongs. It’s about making your life and the life around you more beautiful.
Strategic Details from Mercury in Scorpio
Mercury’s entry into Scorpio on Tuesday ruffles up more details and parts of your Jupiter in Scorpio story to deal with.
You’ll find that communications are more direct and strategic. Caution, your truth can hurt others feelings by just being honest (because it’s intense).
Be compassionate with how your words move others, but don’t you compromise what you have to say.
Financially speaking, think on a bigger picture of where you want to go. Jupiter helps set the vision, and Mercury’s 3-week travel through here will help define the moves to make.
If you need help with getting out of debts, Mercury will help you move small bits of money around that strategically can help you win gains.
If you have truly bad behaviors that are bringing you down, watch out to get toyed with by the cosmos to see the demons you feed. (The cosmos just want you to change for the better).
See what resonates as something valuable to mine into your life from the above text. Set one of your intentions for the Libra New Moon based on that.
Uranus Opposite New Moon Brings Spice and Surprise
The Libra New Moon calls in all Libra archetypes to have a potential new beginning.
Relationships, business partnerships, open enemies, expressions of art, all things fun and light, as well as lower back and all the organs in that region…
All these archetypes potentially have a new beginning to play its course over the next 40 months.
The Opposition of the New Moon to Uranus asks you to be bold with however you mark your intention for this part of your New Moon.
For example, these are some options you’ll have to weigh out:
- Permanent schisms with relationships.
- Channeling your interpersonal energy and relationships to a collective cause.
- Freeing yourself from codependent and dependent relationships to people and things.
- Having a new light on the higher calling of your interpersonal relationships.
- Getting inspired in a way that shocks the way you relate to your own life and lifestyle.
Some of these may not be so fun, but you have to give the range of experiences some resonance within you.
To use this energy, you’ll have to be a little vague, a little scared (because you’re stepping up), and a little wild.
Note that if you avoid this energy, it’s usually harsher. And whatever you do intend, there always will be a twist that surprises you – that’s Uranus’ way. “Hey, I’m here. Let’s make something!” And before you can think about it, it’s already done and can’t be undone.
Which, by the way, all this is also an indication that all your intentions don’t necessarily have to be difficult to manifest. Just need to let the sky open up to give back what you’ve given through your life so far.
Movement and Flow Toward Your Destiny
There are two planetary “pictures” that show flow and movement toward your destiny.
Intend to deliver yourself to your calling at this present time and all that is supposed to be a part of it.
The Grand Trine in Fire between Uranus, Saturn, and the North Node in Leo directs inspiration (and all that Uranus archetype) into a structured vision and embodied presence of who you ought to be. They all talk to each other very freely in any order.
Too, this Grand Trine and the Uranus opposition to the New Moon is what makes a “Kite” formation. The Kite also resonates with “fate” of where you ought to be and helps carry you to new views and experiences, among other things.
This all is encouraging. USE it as the victorious tone to send your New Moon Intentions to listening ears on the other side to co-create.
Day Guides: October 17 – October 23, 2017
Read these guides as a whole to get a feel for the week’s tone. There’s always some overlap of themes. Then read them as you need them, day-by-day.
Tuesday – Optimistic and sultry, the afternoon Moon in Libra pulls you out of the Void Moon morning funk (7:27am-1:35pm EDT). Mercury’s entry into Scorpio this morning also marks a time of sharp tongues and fierce attitudes. This Week’s Considerations explores the 3-week transit deeper.
Wednesday – Aggression, bitterness, or passivity can disrupt your happy-go-lucky spirit. Time to stand up for yourself, your worth, and your right to take space to do your thing. It’s likely an interpersonal conflict as Libra Moon inches closer to a square with Pluto all day.
Thursday – Set intentions relevant to the energies of today’s Libra New Moon. This Week’s Considerations reveal how to use a the chaotic/surprise Uranus energy as well as the dance the line between manipulation and skilled execution. It’s a rich and liberating New Moon, but it also can be a tableau rasa.
Friday – Intense, intuitive, and passionate, this month’s Moon in Scorpio is strengthened by both Jupiter and Mercury’s focus in the sign. Allow yourself to get intense – the pressure leads to breakthrough and relief.
Saturday – Tap into your intuitive knowledge. Feel into what paths are best to take in the choices in front of you. Engage your powers for good. Trust your full range of skills to pull you through the gunk and into the bliss that only faith in yourself and faith in the Universe can provide you. Moon sets up the feeling space (traveling in the dark) that Sun tomorrow will start to light up and realize throughout the next month.
Sunday – All chips in. You feel a little wild but feel super smart about it. So it may look crazy, but is it in your heart of hearts? Mars’ entry into Libra after fingernails-on-chalkboard Virgo (at least from his perspective) may overdo the socializing and bonding. That coupled with a Sagittarius Moon just wants to be free of restrictions. So if you’re ready to do take a big risk, these next 2 days could be your moment, especially after Sun moves to Scorpio at 1:27am EDT Monday.
Monday – Hard to keep focused today. Mars in Virgo is no longer and thus no longer has to be accountable for every second of your life. That coupled with a Sagittarius Moon with no major aspects after 7:11am EDT, you’d rather be browsing beautiful photos, meditating, or just out having fun. Day is favored for out-of-the-box thinking, brainstorm sessions, setting up a dream/vision for yourself or presenting that to others.
