Saturn Direct: Responsibilities and Integrity to Your Plan

This Week’s Considerations.

Saturn direct. Venus in Scorpio. Mars in Aquarius. Two grand trines. And a New Moon in Virgo… like your plate wasn’t already stacked!

… In this video – I botched the thing about Venus in Virgo. She’s changing signs to Scorpio.

I apparently retrograded myself to think backward. My apologies!

The notion of the Virgo issues still remains, as well as Saturn putting on the pressure to get your life organized toward something meaningful.

Venus entering Scorpio instead gives an added boost to Jupiter’s influence on strategy, alluring attraction and seduction into what pleases you most.

Bad Behaviors & Their Exit Plans Revealed. Solar Eclipse & Venus in Libra

Recently on a carnival ride, I felt myself settle into the rhythm of the loops up and down, side to side. And after some time, I thought, “Oh that’s enough, they’ll probably stop the ride now.”

The ride continued for a good while longer. I was wrong. Then, I noticed something.

My “enough” wasn’t about boredom.

It was an artifact of my spiritual awakening beginnings when I thought that detachment from worldly pleasures would facilitate spiritual growth.

My “enough” was actually about cutting myself short of pleasure and disconnecting from the present moment of connection with the person I rode with.

Going even further back in my timeline, I probably resonated with this spiritual concept of detaching from worldly pleasures because I witnessed women compromising their pleasure for the sake of others – the children, spouses, friends, etc.

In other words, my frame of reference of what it meant to be a woman was to take in only so much self-interest and there would have to be enough to give others.

I now know that that my most profound spiritual growth is when I let myself go and run through a moment with fullness until it reveals itself as completed. Also, the abundance mentality supersedes all these restraints of finite units we seem to measure everything against.

But that didn’t prevent me from acting like every other human being in a limited resource world on an innocent carnival ride!

Yes this carnival ride was a small example. It could seem insignificant. However, it became a small window to see how I repeat this behavior all over my life.

Saturday’s solar eclipse at 18 degrees Leo 41’ is a sensitive moment that can reveal your bad behaviors.

The eclipse reckons with your past, through many facets. And at the same time, it asks you to start on a new path with lightspeed.

This Week’s Considerations explore some key themes this new New Moon Solar Eclipse. The Day Guides below to navigate your week’s journey. Continue reading “Bad Behaviors & Their Exit Plans Revealed. Solar Eclipse & Venus in Libra”

Your Solar Eclipse Astrology Briefing

A series of 3 eclipses officially begins next week. Yet, the energy always intensifies a couple weeks before. Meaning, we’re in it!

Even if you don’t have planets in the natal or progressed charts near eclipse degrees (details coming below), the cosmos have plenty of shifts this week that can be unnerving.

Like mini-earthquakes in your personal foundation, these changes are in your temperament and your environment.  (Hint: Look to the house placement of the eclipse points and the planetary shifts to know how it might manifest).

Venus is changing signs on Monday the 9th to Virgo – her least favorite placement. She may not even know it, but overwhelm, bitterness, and putting yourself down the priority list seem to happen almost by accident.

Yet, you’ll also feel like working hard and putting your energies behind what you champion.

Just make sure you’re truly supporting what does matter in your long-term vision, and that you change activities often enough to not get into the weeds. (This energy continues until August 6th).

Also, Jupiter is stationing to Direct Motion. Over Jupiter’s Retrograde, you’ve gained secret information that has helped you gain confidence in your path, the people supporting it, and in yourself.

The Direct Motion path says it’s time to apply that strategy and inner-knowing to the world. Be the influence for good, and transform the world and its people around you.

These planetary shifts agitate – and thus intensify – the energies of the eclipse, particularly the first one on Thursday the 12th. The eclipse wants to fast-forward your personal evolution.

However, with a shifting context – aka those planetary shifts and the eclipse happening in oscillating Cancer – the target of change also is moving.

So if it boils down to one thing, I might bet that you can feel bit moody and undecided this week. Call it laissez-faire – that’s probably the best approach to all this anywhere.

This Week’s Considerations helps you personalize this info to understand how it impacts you. Continue reading “Your Solar Eclipse Astrology Briefing”

Hold Steady

Some years ago in a job interview, I told someone that when s*** hits the fan, I’m more the person that sees where it lands than freaks out during it.

That same sentiment holds true today, and it often surprises people.

I’ve just taught myself how to hold steady. (And maybe this is too literal a Uranus in Taurus realization, lol)!

Yes, when it’s happening, I feel emotions and my mind is racing about how to fix things. But, I no longer jump the gun. I wait to see the next thing.

Because that next thing is often more indicative of what will happen next than the trigger itself.

Listen – change, especially unanticipated ones, is hard to take.

But if it’s happening, it’s happening.

How are you going to handle it?

For me, it’s best to accept the reality as it’s happening.

This week there in a larger-than-normal change of planetary position. Mercury enters Cancer, Venus enters Leo, and Neptune Stations Retrograde. Too, there’s a dynamic New Moon in Gemini on Wednesday.

That means your communication style and ways you connect things shifts. The things you desire, how you want to relate to the world around you moves. And your vision toward more inward (again).

I wish you grace upon these changes, however they meet you.

This Week’s Considerations helps you hold steady while these pages turn in the stories of your life. Continue reading “Hold Steady”

Turn the Page. Characters Development, New Story.

kiwihug-book-atlas-map-KristenTodayThis week’s cosmos are ready for a new chapter to a similar story. Characters develop their personality. The story evolves.

In astrological terms 4 planets change signs this week.

When a celestial body changes signs, it’s ready to take on a new breadth of experience. New archetypes to try on, a different color wardrobe.

Below I explore each of planet changes below and what they might entail.

What I want you do with this is consciously make efforts to shape them into reality. Yes, astrology can happen to you, but it also can be a collaborator most of the time.

Work Hard Without Feeling Like Crap About It + Libra Full Moon

oscar-soderlund-black-white-running-water-KristenTodayCareer and achievement are some of the most sought after answers on Google.

While it takes a visionary to see the world in a new way, it also take sweat, brains, and resilience to see through what it actually takes to make visions a reality.

It can feel like you’re running a marathon although you’ve never left your desk!

These supportive roles in American society are often see as undesirable class and social symbols. And so, they are avoided. Things that trigger senses of inferiority and petty work instead of “climbing the ladder” are the modern-day plague. It may be a little murmur in the back of your mind, but it’s likely creating some hesitancy on your part!

This week’s cosmic landscape challenges your resistance to busy work and trusting the process.

Today’s Leo Moon can be an ego deflator, followed by a Virgo Moon that has you cleaning up old messes.

By the time you’ve had enough of the weeds, you’re confronted with the Full Moon in Libra that asks what you actually accomplished vs. what you say you wanted in your life. And that Virgo Moon from the couple days before has all the details ready for review.

Saturn and Mars approach a conjunction this week. It’s like a college-age son reporting back to his father what he accomplished. Being a young man, it may have been aimless and full of sexual interests moreso or less than learning… and that is a reconciliation that both will have find with a plan and a renewed vision of how to go about things.

Saturn and Mars represent your own plans (followed or not) and actions (strategic or aimless/for fun and pleasure). The Full Moon corners this already tense moment in the sky threatening you with more of the same or giving you the opportunity to decide on taking a new approach.

It’s you that makes the decision to start fresh. And that might mean rolling up your sleeves and dealing with the nitty-gritty work necessary to get yourself back on track.

All in all, when you’re faced with hard truths, humility and humbleness go a long way. They are the ever shifting backbone that keeps you pure and honest no matter where you’re going.

This Week’s Considerations explore how to work hard without feeling like crap about it. Continue reading “Work Hard Without Feeling Like Crap About It + Libra Full Moon”

Shadows & Simplicity: January 15 Solar Eclipse

asoggetti-clouds-grayscale-walking-KristenTodayWith a shadow is an outline, a shape of the image you’re leaving behind.

It makes me question the shadow – or imprint – of what I’ve already left behind. And too, what I will leave behind when my time is done.

Thursday’s Solar Eclipse casts a shadow on the ways you’ve been scattered and disorganized. Not only that, Mercury gets eclipsed, showing the ways you spread out your time in thoughtful ways but maybe not working coherently together.

Most things in life are started with good intentions. Along the process, though, the good intentions don’t always have good results. Especially, when you look at how all your activities are working together.

The astrological moment calls for a reckoning, a humbling and sudden change. (Most strongly for those with planets 24-29 degrees in Aquarius, Taurus, Leo, and Scorpio).

Yes, it’s dark to ask this – but without darkness, light has no place to fill…

… What legacy are you leaving, and is it the one you want?

This Week’s Considerations open this conversation the cosmos might reiterate through the eclipse and the passage of Sun and Mercury into Pisces late in the week. Continue reading “Shadows & Simplicity: January 15 Solar Eclipse”

Abandon Your Inhibitions, Not Your Goals: Aquarius

vienna-aquarius-man-woman-KristenTodayFeeling the urge to rebel from your well-meaning intentions?

Last week Venus and Sun completed their journeys in Capricorn to enter Aquarius. But before doing so, they squared Uranus before leaving.

This position put a lot of anxiety to what you think you want, and it could have raised doubts to the goals you set out for yourself.

Before you hail about New Year’s Resolution sabotage, read on.

Aquarius wants to rebel and break the rules that inhibit you. That’s precisely the opposite of the Capricorn lessons you have been asked to see strongly these past few weeks.

Be careful to not drain the baby with the bathwater!

How you approach the insights from your Capricorn journey sets the stage for your Aquarius experience.

You’ll have to weigh your urges and “what lights you up.” Does it bring you closer to the dream and ideals you want to hold?

(Welcome to Aquarius talk, where Venus and Sun now are).

If you leave the Capricorn energy with impatience or anger against authorities (negative manifestations of Capricorn), you could realize more negative effects of Aquarius like disorganization, chaos, and anxiety. You lose your direction.

Positive manifestations of Aquarius include affinities to help the collective, scientific discovery, unapologetic individualism and synthesizing intellect. You’re expanding your horizon!

Like feeds like. Positive Capricorn leads to positive Aquarius. So let’s keep our heads on straight, alright! Continue reading “Abandon Your Inhibitions, Not Your Goals: Aquarius”
