Autumnal Equinox & Full Harvest Moon: Demand Truth & Nurture Non-Toxic Relationships

“As above, so below. As within, so without.” — The Emerald Tablet of Hermes

The cosmos are macro example of the same reality on our Earth. If one is like the other, we can look at the Earth to better understand the cosmos.

The Autumnal Equinox is Saturday, and nature will take a dramatic leap of faith on itself, as it has every autumn.

It will allow parts of its body to die and compost in the faith that a new life will arrive in the coming seasons.

Trees will keep their structure – the trunks, branches, and twigs. But they will have new “hands” through their leaves to interact with its similar, but changed surroundings.

You too have the opportunity to let go of old things – even if they’re good things – to make room for a new perception of self and your surroundings.

Monday’s Full Harvest Moon highlights all that can be changed about how you initiate and begin projects in your life.

And likely, it will reflect a relationship between authorities, masculine energy, and men that you’ve danced through all week.

In conditions of opportunity like these, there are 3 strategies I’ll practice to keep me on track.

  1. Being in my truth.
  2. Renewing my trust in myself.
  3. Facilitating non-toxic relations (by practicing 1 &2).

In This Week’s Considerations, I dive deeper into the meaning and opportunity of Mercury entering Libra, the Autumnal Equinox, and the Full Harvest Moon in Aries. I also review the best ways I’ve found to realize these strategies to keep both of us on track.

Bad Behaviors & Their Exit Plans Revealed. Solar Eclipse & Venus in Libra

Recently on a carnival ride, I felt myself settle into the rhythm of the loops up and down, side to side. And after some time, I thought, “Oh that’s enough, they’ll probably stop the ride now.”

The ride continued for a good while longer. I was wrong. Then, I noticed something.

My “enough” wasn’t about boredom.

It was an artifact of my spiritual awakening beginnings when I thought that detachment from worldly pleasures would facilitate spiritual growth.

My “enough” was actually about cutting myself short of pleasure and disconnecting from the present moment of connection with the person I rode with.

Going even further back in my timeline, I probably resonated with this spiritual concept of detaching from worldly pleasures because I witnessed women compromising their pleasure for the sake of others – the children, spouses, friends, etc.

In other words, my frame of reference of what it meant to be a woman was to take in only so much self-interest and there would have to be enough to give others.

I now know that that my most profound spiritual growth is when I let myself go and run through a moment with fullness until it reveals itself as completed. Also, the abundance mentality supersedes all these restraints of finite units we seem to measure everything against.

But that didn’t prevent me from acting like every other human being in a limited resource world on an innocent carnival ride!

Yes this carnival ride was a small example. It could seem insignificant. However, it became a small window to see how I repeat this behavior all over my life.

Saturday’s solar eclipse at 18 degrees Leo 41’ is a sensitive moment that can reveal your bad behaviors.

The eclipse reckons with your past, through many facets. And at the same time, it asks you to start on a new path with lightspeed.

This Week’s Considerations explore some key themes this new New Moon Solar Eclipse. The Day Guides below to navigate your week’s journey. Continue reading “Bad Behaviors & Their Exit Plans Revealed. Solar Eclipse & Venus in Libra”

Work Hard Without Feeling Like Crap About It + Libra Full Moon

oscar-soderlund-black-white-running-water-KristenTodayCareer and achievement are some of the most sought after answers on Google.

While it takes a visionary to see the world in a new way, it also take sweat, brains, and resilience to see through what it actually takes to make visions a reality.

It can feel like you’re running a marathon although you’ve never left your desk!

These supportive roles in American society are often see as undesirable class and social symbols. And so, they are avoided. Things that trigger senses of inferiority and petty work instead of “climbing the ladder” are the modern-day plague. It may be a little murmur in the back of your mind, but it’s likely creating some hesitancy on your part!

This week’s cosmic landscape challenges your resistance to busy work and trusting the process.

Today’s Leo Moon can be an ego deflator, followed by a Virgo Moon that has you cleaning up old messes.

By the time you’ve had enough of the weeds, you’re confronted with the Full Moon in Libra that asks what you actually accomplished vs. what you say you wanted in your life. And that Virgo Moon from the couple days before has all the details ready for review.

Saturn and Mars approach a conjunction this week. It’s like a college-age son reporting back to his father what he accomplished. Being a young man, it may have been aimless and full of sexual interests moreso or less than learning… and that is a reconciliation that both will have find with a plan and a renewed vision of how to go about things.

Saturn and Mars represent your own plans (followed or not) and actions (strategic or aimless/for fun and pleasure). The Full Moon corners this already tense moment in the sky threatening you with more of the same or giving you the opportunity to decide on taking a new approach.

It’s you that makes the decision to start fresh. And that might mean rolling up your sleeves and dealing with the nitty-gritty work necessary to get yourself back on track.

All in all, when you’re faced with hard truths, humility and humbleness go a long way. They are the ever shifting backbone that keeps you pure and honest no matter where you’re going.

This Week’s Considerations explore how to work hard without feeling like crap about it. Continue reading “Work Hard Without Feeling Like Crap About It + Libra Full Moon”

How to Have It All + Mercury Retrograde and Gemini Full Moon.

compass-hand-KristenTodayAre you having a hard time choosing between good options?

Sometimes it’s just easier to resort to unfulfilling tasks or distractions when the “authorities” clash in your thinking.

You may just want to let this pass and see what comes, but do world-class poker players rely purely on fate?

Don’t become a witness instead of a player of the game of your life either!

In only 4 weeks, the fluffy optimism that characterized the past 2.5 years starts getting translated to meaningful accomplishments (even more).

Time for everyone to step up to the authority and influence they want to be in the world. Yes, you too!

This Week’s Considerations is inspired by the astrological climate around the Mercury Retrograde and the Gemini Full Moon on Sunday, December 3rd. Continue reading “How to Have It All + Mercury Retrograde and Gemini Full Moon.”

Thursday’s Libra New Moon Most Powerful Intentions

cauldron-witch-ingredients-magic-new-moon-intentions-KristenTodayWhen I stepped foot into my first astrology class, I was looking for the ingredients to the alchemy of life.

(Yes, those were actually the words I thought. AND I did not think that was intense or abnormal at all)!

I must have channeled some past memory of a witch mixing her ingredients in a cauldron to come up with some magical result because all I could think about with astrology is that it must be like a recipe book. I just needed to learn how energies mixed to create certain manifestations.

Well, it turned out astrology is much more complicated than to give definite answers for most things. And at the same time, there are certain trends and archetypes that I’ve learned to expect from an astrological moment. Like New Moons in Libra (this Thursday)!

I was right about one thing, though – the ingredients!

Basically when you read astrology, what you do is break down the “pie” of the chart into its “ingredients” or parts.

Each part has a life of its own. It’s the orchestration of the whole that makes things manifest according to the consciousness of the individual in question. That’s why twins or those born at the same moment can experience very different lives.

It’s in this frame of ingredients in how we’re going to explore the Libra New Moon together in This Week’s Considerations. But first! Continue reading “Thursday’s Libra New Moon Most Powerful Intentions”

Venus in Libra Brings Much Needed Breakthrough

door-breakthrough-sun-KristenTodayThese past three weeks have been laced with overwhelm, gut issues, planning overdrive, and dissatisfaction.

Thanks to Venus in Virgo, the problems have kept shifting – just when you figure out how to satisfy one thing, another issue comes up. It’s hard to have any sense of routine, but how stabilizing that would be!

All this, and it’s been hard to stay satisfied and feeling “good enough” consistently. Any credit received can feel lackluster because there has been so much more going into the yearned but somehow empty recognition.

Relief is coming when Venus enters Libra on Saturday.

Her ~3-week passage in this sign will reflect late August into early September, likely when you felt closer to the feeling of your passions and your ability to share it with others. (a.k.a. You aren’t a slave to them or feel guilty for doing them)!

Even though your efforts still may go slower than you desire (thanks to Mars in Virgo), you’ll be more in the mood to be social and continue the connections you rallied before autumn.

Your energy can expand more, your life flows better.

Venus in Libra can free up space for things that matter most to you and however you externalize those.

7 Ways to Feel on Your “A-Game”

Use these 7 strategies derived from Venus’ indications as she enters Libra to guide your next 3 weeks to a more fulfilled place.

For the astrology buffs, check out the Venus Ingress graphic that corresponds with my suggestions by number.

  1. Amp up your personality while maintaining honesty and humility. Your authentic magnetism can shine and attract the people who make you feel valued for who you really are.
  2. Share your process with others. Get feedback (that you use) and make opportunities to receive credit where credit is due. It won’t be fishing for compliments but rather sharing a vulnerable facet of yourself, which elicits respect and attention by the simple act of being a chosen someone special to confide in.
  3. Trust your perspective. You’ve spent a good part of the past 2.5 years developing your worldview and your updated vision of your place in it. Continue to weigh your options of what will best get you there.
  4. Surround yourself in environments that inspire you, that represent parts of yourself you’d like to accentuate.
  5. Accept and work with the pressure to amount to something meaningful, even if it seems strange to those you face. It helps you get to where you want to be and what feeds your soul’s happiness.
  6. Nurture what brings you joy, and you’re setting yourself up on a good foundation for long-term success and gets your daily routines aligned to your bigger picture.
  7. Embrace what makes you tick. The way you think, how you problem solve, what you see in others, etc. It’s a valuable part of you that you offer the world.

Incorporate these into your daily life, and much of that frustration the past three weeks can have a positive outlet.

Day Guides: October 10 – October 16, 2017

Read these guides as a whole to get a feel for the week’s tone. There’s always some overlap of themes. Then read them as you need them, day-by-day.

Tuesday – Your issues around your psyche, sex, and finances start to get a ~1-year long magnifying lens, marked by today’s entry of Jupiter in Scorpio. Difficult decisions might have to be made, but the goal is that you feel more integrated (not divided) by the end of it. For more in-depth analysis, check out Last Week’s Considerations, dedicated to the topic.

Wednesday – Cancer Moon makes for a sensitive day. Pressure builds, especially on themes of power struggle and authority-figures. You can feel small and insignificant today, which isn’t the greater truth. Amp up the activities and mindsets that help you feel more secure.

Low Profile-20pixLove-20pixJournal-20pixAdventure-20pix

Thursday – Another emotionally loaded day. Before you start any conversation or effort today, find a focus and problem-solve from that perspective to help channel the energies that otherwise could be confrontational. It’s easy to take things too personally today, so your self-control to bring things back to a more likely (supportive) reality is imperative.

Purge-20pixLow Profile-20pixJournal-20pixAdventure-20pix

Friday – Leo Moon encourages you to make things fun. Play a game during a lunch break, engage in good-humored contests with your peers. Laugh, enjoy yourself. The refreshing tone is a welcome relief from the week’s earlier strains.

Saturday – Remember the end of the summer when you could wear your passions on your sleeve and feel good about what you wanted? Today Venus enters Libra while Moon is in Leo, making her 3-week journey a flashback to August-September. Allow yourself to feel re-invigorated and passionate about what you care about and who you put in your closest company. See This Week’s Considerations for more strategies on how to put on your A-game.

Sunday – Clean the cobwebs, dust, and organize the paper shuffle today. Virgo Moon helps you have the patience to get through the dirt in your life. A clear space makes way for a clear mind, which is a prerequisite for the upcoming winter energies of “What does this all mean?” and “What do I want for next year?”

Monday – Although quiet and internal, today is favored to be extremely productive. Just make sure to have a map or checklist of what’s important, otherwise, you could end up in the wrong rabbit hole! Enjoy the focus today offers.

Empower Key Relationships Now For Lasting Impact

Key-Forest-KristenTodayAutumn is a rush. Summer vacations are over, the brisk air gets you moving faster. The cold makes you think faster. Intensity strengthens.

Astrologically, the tone follows. Last week was the advent of Autumn with the equinox and Sun’s entry into Libra. Time to make things happen before the “death” of winter.

In everyday speak… if you have big goals you want to reach – you have an opportunity right now to nurture key relationships that’ll help to get you exactly where you want to go. Make sure you make the most of the next 13 days, it can be a game-changer.

More on why we have this opportunity right now. This week, Pluto stations to Direct Motion on Thursday, ending his 5-month retrograde period. (See Pluto’s Power Retrograde article from April here). This happens as Mars approaches a trine to Pluto, which perfects on Thursday.

Meaning, something nasty is about it be unearthed on a collective level. I pray it’s not fighting and war.

On a personal level, you’ve come to know your triggers that keep you from achieving greatness. Very quickly, you’ll have your opportunity to give them their place (below you where they originate) and stand to push through your life and create the change in yourself and the world that is only yours to accomplish.

Pluto Direct Motion also wants you to be the agent of change in the outer world. In a positive expression, he’s all about power and control (in emotions and environment) to transform and evolve the old.

Jupiter is preparing to enhance these qualities in only 2 weeks.

Jupiter has been transiting Libra for nearly a year, and he will depart this sign October 10th to not return to it for another 12 years. His journey then becomes that of the Scorpio flavor (of which Pluto and Mars co-rule the sign). Jupiter will have to cooperate with Pluto and Mars in th way he gives.

Next week I’ll explain even more how the character of Jupiter in Scorpio might show up. (For me, on reflection it set up everything I enjoy today… but in the moment, that was difficult.).

First, collect your assets to fuel your journey ahead. Continue reading “Empower Key Relationships Now For Lasting Impact”

Your Inner Circle?, and Even If You’re Faking It, Keep Going

electric-indigo-waves-KristenTodayContradictions but congruent motion.

You’re not quite yourself, yet your autopilot is working very well.

This week, Sun approaches Neptune and makes you consider all those overwhelming purpose questions.

Mercury’s flubbed up messages and unclear ends to communicating aren’t connecting the dots like they have in better days.

Venus gets her way, yet soon she might want to retract.

Uranus and Jupiter have a big, rare moment this week bringing into focus 6 years ago. How you want to make the best of the next 7 years until they meet again is supported by this teeter-totter cosmic activity.

The Dirty Truth & Living the Good Life

—posted late due to technical glitches, apologies for any inconvenience!

lake-stream-fog-mountain-KristenTodayJupiter and Pluto’s square climaxing on Thursday stir up some dirty truths.

Navigating unknown territories can make you again turn avoidance cheek that already has made things worse than they need to be.

You can and must get through this expedition. Life is peaks and valleys, just like Sagittarius, where Sun entered Monday the 21st.

Sun in Sagittarius breaks you free of imagined boundaries that you didn’t even know were holding you back.

Time will fly by, so this week’s void moons help you setup for easy wins later on.

Spend your time with astrological know-how and give your intentionality a boost with This Week’s Considerations. Continue reading “The Dirty Truth & Living the Good Life”

Sun in Libra Plays, Mercury Retrograde No-More, Cunning Venus in Scorpio, & Pluto’s Wealth

woman-cave-KristenTodayMercury Retrograde ends on Thursday, the same day Sun enters Libra.

This Mercury Retrograde has got some strategic workings up its sleeve. I know that because the last major aspect he’ll make retrograde is trine Pluto on Tuesday.

There’s a clear throughline between Jupiter’s tenancy in Virgo the past year and this Mercury Retrograde during eclipses.

Below I detail how to figure it on for yourself, but basically, Jupiter left Mercury a bunch of old photos and items to go through. With what Mercury didn’t know what to do, the eclipses either blew them up or gave him signs to keep going with it.

Poof, you’re delivered to people and places instead of just your desk.

Venus enters Scorpio on Friday, a very powerful, calculative position for her.

And finally, Pluto stations Direct on Monday.

Between Pluto, Venus, and now Jupiter and Sun in Libra, be ready to realize some pretty awesome partnerships, agreements, and strategic alliances.

Hey, you’re now graduated from Virgo work-at-again get-your-life-together land. Now it’s your time to leave the practice field and play ball.
