The Taurus Full Moon is the one I symbolically find most profound and challenging. (I like challenges).
Taurus Full Moon annually asks at once to do two contradictory directives.
- Reap the benefits of all you’ve created over the past 20 months. You’ve worked hard to bring your value into the world, and now those efforts can be recognized even more to reward you for that!
- Reinvent your sense of self to seed the creation of something more profoundly meaningful to you. To do this, you have to let go of what you’ve created this past 20-months. You let it live its life, and now it’s time to strike up the creative juices and move on.
Every year, the astrological environment of the other planets’ placements shapes the context to which the Full Moon will manifest. Each of these aspects shapes how you will do these two directives over the next 20 months.
Reaping Rewards vs. Becoming a Sellout
Mercury is at the last degrees of Scorpio.
A map for how your life best develops over the next year has been sketched – at least in your mind!
Mercury has been busy taking what you know about the world, researching, and strategizing some connections to make. Your mental and communicative archetype feels ready to move on – strong, cunning, and educated. Except, Mercury’s moving into a sign that’s really awkward for him, and he can sense that.
Mercury in Sagittarius is like trying place an object on high shelves you can’t reach. Or, trying to get out of a tight parking spot! Think of it as big and little mixed up in ways that don’t match.
This energy carries through the next twenty months. You can take advantage of what your hard work has rewarded you, yet the back of your mind may question if you’re taking away from your big picture by accepting benefits. Or, if you’re shallow because you’ve said yes to what your history has brought to you instead of what’s in your heart today.
You are the measure to that, and read more about Venus-Uranus to understand that dynamic better.
Between Who You Say You Want to Be and Who You’re Becoming
Sun is at the midpoint of Mercury and Jupiter.
A midpoint in astrology is a sensitive point where the two planets have a secret communication and attraction to pull in energy to manifest their energy.
Sun lights up this place of secret communication between Mercury and Jupiter, who have been plotting the big, necessary shifts to set you up for long-term success. (Read here about my difficult but ultimately positive Jupiter in Scorpio transit 12 years ago).
The Sun’s light during the Full Moon shows how important this moment of standing between who you say you want to be and who you are becoming. For many, it can be a crossroads of “this is who I was before, this is who I am today.”
Make this Full Moon a time to be honest about how much you can surrender to receive the necessary changes in your life, how to find even greater fulfillment and sense of service. Too, tap into yourself and feel the Light your soul wants to incarnate.
Life doesn’t just happen to you, you open the spaces to create it.
Where to Shake Things Up
Venus and Uranus Oppose.
Your values evolve as you continue your life’s journey. The Venus-Uranus opposition encourages you to cut out what isn’t serving you and to shake things up a little.
As a result, your value (what you have to offer and self-worth) also shifts. When you change, then your environment and people change around you. It’s a radical new you, in your public facing at least.
You can shake things up by changing your people and environments… or from the opposite, by standing in renewed valued.
Another possible manifestation of this astrological aspect is that your partner, best friend, or annoying naysayer challenge you. Maybe they help you step up. Maybe you separate to gain perspective.
Uranus often reveals surprises. So, whatever happens, trust you will find your balance again. Venus will lead you there. Astrology says so. (Uranus is Retrograde and not as strong).
Overall, this astrological aspect challenges you to bring light to the causes that motivate you and find a way to relate to that. In other words, bridge your sense of self-worth derived your gifts and experience to a bigger context.
Break It-Build it-Best Self
Grand Trine in Fire: Saturn-North Node-Uranus.
Examine your inspiration sources and see how those are leading you. Is it helping you grow into who you want to become? Are you losing your sense of self? What needs to break? What needs more structure?
All these answers help open up the answers to the other. (Total magic).
Use the break it-build it-best self mantra to get a starting point that will get the others moving.
Fire Trines keep the energy flowing and inspired, whose benefits could last up to the next 20 months following this Full Moon’s effect.
Day Guides: October 31 – November 6, 2017
Read these guides as a whole to get a feel for the week’s tone. There’s always some overlap of themes. Then read them as you need them, day-by-day.
Tuesday – Exert more effort – like you would when walking through water – toward your activities today. Your flexibility and ability to take in another perspective can help you keep forward. The day feels like a hard stop when Moon goes Void at 5:08pm EDT. After that, take time for yourself to checkin and regroup for an energetic next couple days.
(Moon in Pisces inconjuncts Venus then trines Mercury. Last aspect is square Saturn at 5:08pm EDT. Moon void ends 11:43pm EDT).
Wednesday – Practice agility in all your efforts today so you can be responsive and directive. Energetic, ambitious, impulsive, and firey, today’s Moon may reveal some ineloquent moments. Play the upper hand, and give the zealous an opening for a second chance to contextualize their thoughts.
(Aries Moon inconjuncts Jupiter and Sun, opposes Mars and semi-sextiles Neptune. Mercury approaches a semi-sextiles to Saturn.).
Thursday -Hard decisions might have to be made, but life doesn’t have to suck because of it! Trust that order can restore from any unexpected changes, and from the mess and chaos that follows. Nationally speaking, more news and backlash from the Mueller Investigation likely are to appear.
(Aries Moon begins in hard aspect to Pluto and Venus, then has a trine to Saturn and last aspect conjoined to Uranus. Venus and Saturn approach sextile.).
Friday – There’s a strain between what you’d like to enjoy and what other pressures call your attention. The Taurus Full Moon perfects tonight, bringing an opportunity to reap your rewards but also to renew and reinvent. This Week’s Considerations explore the Full Moon whose effects can last for 20 months.
(Taurus Moon leading up to Full Moon at 1:23am EDT Saturday).
Saturday – At a crossroads, a breaking point, you’re wrapping up one chapter of your life to begin entering another. Give yourself the opportunity to break free from traditions so you stay on the path to create the legacy you want. Do this by the environments in that you surround yourself and the people with whom you interact.
(Taurus Moon. Venus-Uranus Opposition).
Sunday – Firstly, Daylight Savings ended – move your clocks back an hour if you’re in a place that does that. 😉 Beginning today for the next 3 weeks, your articulation isn’t as smooth as its been. You’re drawn to express from a higher philosophy, to put things under a shared umbrella of understanding. Emotionally you want to do it all, but it can be hard to piece together and it’s sometimes contradictory. Stay focused on what you said matters to change and to create from these past two weeks, and the energy is easier to manage.
(Mercury enters Sagittarius).
Monday – Be careful of grass-is-greener-on-the-other-side rabbit holes. Today’s energy can be impulsive and inquisitive. Without direction, it easily can become misguided, which sadly will be sorely noticed in the evening.
(Gemini Moon. Opposes Saturn then sextiles Uranus at night).
