Does this happen to you too?
I tend to be at least 2 years ahead of time.
Sometimes I “get” little glimpses of how things ought to be, businesses that would be successful, or even fashion (especially in my teenage years). I’d try to describe it to others, some would get it and be like, “Oh ya!” and others would look at me with doe eyes.
For example, my business idea of “From Scratch” started in my Sunnyside, Queens, apartment in 2007 or 2008. The idea was that single people could order food to match what they’d need for their recipes for the week (and not have to overbuy). They would be sourced from local farms where possible, even pre-cut if possible, with step 1-2-3, etc.
Today Blue Apron most popularly does a most of that as well as numerous others. Blue Apron started at least 4 years after “my” idea.
Now, I’m glad I don’t run that business, but I have learned a few things from stories like this (and there are many over the years) and me not acting on any (gasp!).
- A good idea doesn’t have to make sense to everyone.
- Don’t be afraid to find a team to fill in the information gaps to make it a reality.
- Keep your ideas close by to see when the public may resonate with them. (Did you know that Outkast sat on “Hey Ya” for about 2 years before releasing it?)
- Commitment is an energy that you have to maintain and renew consistently.
- Doubt comes from every direction because you’re changing what is.
This week’s astrology rev’s up your own good ideas, and all that comes with it. The Day Guides detail what happens actually happens when.
Below, I offer you to embody these three influences to capture the true potential this week offers.
What’s secretly brilliant to you (lately)?
Now that Sun is also in Scorpio, you have a powerful “stellium” with Jupiter and Mercury to see 1) big picture and 2) necessary details to realize whatever major transformation on the horizon for a year from now.
Like my innocent ideas that made a lot of sense to me and not everyone else at first, tap in to yourself to see what truly resonates. Trust the brilliance of your inner wisdom.
Commit to transform something for yourself.
Commitment is more than just writing something on paper and sometimes referencing it.
Make a commitment that can be internalized and felt as a responsibility to yourself. Take this inspiration or insight you have as a gift from your Higher Self. The commitment you make is with this Higher Self to let your physical body be a vehicle for expression to your Soul.
I know I got deep there, way quickly, but that’s what we’re talking about.
Your soul’s desires are more like whispers. How else can something non-physical communicate to you?
If you don’t listen for those cues that only you understand, sometimes the people and experiences around you will give clues and nudges to help you along.
Make a shortcut and listen to yourself first!
At the end of the day, it’s about listening to your soul’s call coupled with you taking a commitment to fulfill those deepest desires and inspirations. Now’s the time to make those.
Be realistic about the emotional baggage
Your reptile brain is designed for survival. It’s critical to manage everyday life. For one, it acts as a “filter” to help you only perceive what’s important (why you don’t hear white noise).
Also, it unconsciously regulates your step so you can pay attention to other things. (That’s why a regular heights to stairs is so important).
Thirdly, it fights changes to the status quo because unpredictable situations could lead to sabertooth tigers coming out from the bushes to attack you! That sounds funny, but there’s a definite comfort to whatever your “regular” is, and you brain thinks danger for everything else.
This is all to say, doubt will come in many forms when you start acting on whatever your commitment is.
Doubt should be met as, “Oh, I guess I’m doing it!” You’re changing something.
Change can be positive. Just like your phone needs to update, so you do! Becoming someone else or transforming a part of your life make you current and more resonate to make your impact.
Be strategic how you share your commitment.
I’m definitely not saying this out of fear of someone stealing your ideas. We live in an age where personal expression of nearly the same thing makes a huge difference for impact and mutual growth, even in similar markets.
Be strategic for the sake of recognition. See others for where they are – it should match where you’re at when externalizing your commitment.
You want others to “vibe” with what you have to offer and achieve success from that. Just like you wouldn’t hand a shoe to a baby and expect him to put it on himself; you wouldn’t present your ideas or work to those who aren’t ready to receive it.
Keep close a tight-knit team who is capable of sharing the same vision and commitment as you. Look for people who can fill-in information gaps to make your idea a success. Learning takes longer than you have time for – get people around you. Plus, your idea is more valuable with the input of others than risking of doing it alone.
(Even Elon Musk has a team to help him build his wild ideas).
The worst thing about not acting on a good idea is the wonder of what life could have been like with it. Not quite regret, the disappointment in not listening to yourself and your inner wisdom is a downward spiral for self-confidence and fulfillment to shine.
Scorpio time – which we’re now in – is intense. It’s not time to make light of things or the seriousness of the implications. We’re being super real now.
Take yourself seriously and make use of these three influences.
You can really get into it; it just takes a little getting used to. (Plus time is urgent, the energy is strongest this first two weeks of Sun in Scorpio).
All this is setting up your 2018 where Saturn is in Capricorn and helps you truly enter achiever mode. Why not achieve in things close to your heart?
Day Guides: October 24 – October 30, 2017
Read these guides as a whole to get a feel for the week’s tone. There’s always some overlap of themes. Then read them as you need them, day-by-day.
Tuesday – Morning feels conflicted; it’s a fight to stay positive. There’s a something to let go and give up. At the same time, the yearning for something bigger is partially true, just not yet founded in reality. Notice the way things are lining up and tap into your inner wisdom to find a new arrangement to make things work. Sadness and depression can pop up if you don’t encourage the energy to be internal and visionary.
(Sun conjoining Mercury and Jupiter in Scorpio. Moon in Sagittarius until void 12:44 – 8:12pm EDT. Mercury-Neptune trine).
Wednesday – To the point, use today’s intense focus to make something of little things. There are “gems” to be mined.
(Capricorn Moon positive aspects to Jupiter, Neptune, and Mercury).
Thursday – Since October 10th, you’ve likely taken a new approach toward your finances, inner work, or transforming something. An objective light is taken on what has been mostly a hunch until now. See it for something valuable and make goals with ways to measure its progress through the next year.
(Sun meets Jupiter in Scorpio during a Capricorn Moon).
Friday – Running away from commitments, your mind can rebel today in protest to the changes you set yesterday and this week. The mind is programmed to keep status quo. Resistance takes from your emotions as they try to overshadow your reasoning and intuitive wisdom.
(Aquarius Moon in hard aspect to Jupiter/Sun. Venus-Pluto Square).
Saturday – Your mind and heart again are at conflict (in a similar way to yesterday). Let yourself be social and take some worries off your chest, but don’t doubt the changes you’ve set out for yourself this week. Trust the validity of whatever inspires you.
(Aquarius Moon trines Venus and squares Mercury).
Sunday – High-energy stirs up a mess to create a new order to both your things and mindset. Void Moon after 12:22pm EDT is a more energetic one than typically, but it does encourage you to be inside. Some inspiring meditations or creative projects are favored. Moon enters calm Pisces at 7:46pm.
(Aquarius Moon sextiles Saturn and last aspect is sextile Uranus).
Monday – Intuitive and flowing day. Whatever emotions that have been running will amp up. Like a mirror, try to mediate the emotions by doing the inverse until a calming balance is found. Good day for taking insight into how the work you envisioned last week can unfold and come to light. It may take a some blind faith.
(Moon in Pisces trine Jupiter and Sun. Moon eclipses Neptune).
