It’s a straightforward, nothing remarkable week besides Wednesday. That’s when Mercury stations to Direct Motion and Sun aspects Neptune.
Time to reconstruct all the parts that fell apart and craft it into something reimagined and beautiful!
Next week is ridiculously busy astrologically. Busy astrology means high-energy and lots of outside influences to manage.
Use this week’s cosmic potentials to be productive, even across confrontations and people who can’t control their passions. (That’s just how it goes when 3 major planets are in Aries).
Warning: Moon in Virgo on Thursday-Friday can be a little exhausting.
The Day Guides below offer a good pulse of what to expect and how to work with the present moment in the astrological conditions.
This Week’s Astrological Highlights
- Mercury Stations Direct in Aries on Wednesday, finalizing all he upturned in his retrograde period the past 3 weeks. Mercury in Aries-Taurus themes from March 27th to today start to resolve. More below in This Week’s Considerations.
- Sun-Neptune sextile on Wednesday as well, bringing a wave of sweetness to feel the value and realness of your dreams. If you’ve been struggling to stay focused, it also can manifest as a overwhelm for all you have to do (and say no in order to do it) to make the dreams come true.
- Moon is waxing this week, always a promising time to plant your gardens – and your idea gardens – for more bountiful blooms. That’s especially true when Moon is in Libra and Scorpio Saturday afternoon until the Full Moon next Wednesday, the 10th.
Mercury Retrograde No More, Now What?!
Mercury Stations to Direct Motion on Wednesday, May 2nd, and begins to wrap up the stories that have been under review since March 27th.
Now in his “shadow” period, Mercury travels through the degrees his retrograde was. He leaves the shadow on May 20th, so you only have a couple weeks to tie up your loose ends.
“Hmm… what loose ends?” you ask.
Go back to the Mercury Retrograde Formula to get clear on what happened, which may be different than what you intended.
In there, I review the archetypes for Aries and Taurus, which will help you identify those stories to tie up and then make the most of moving these stories along during Direct Motion time.
Whatever your journey is, Mercury – ruler of expression and motion – wants you to talk and walk the walk.
So, do something with your newfound awareness.
Still struggling to identify it? Try this:
Recognize the perspective shift, over the retrograde period.
When Mercury stationed Retrograde on April 9th, it was hard to know what you wanted and to make any headway.
Venus also was retrograde and Mars was in Taurus.
You had to focus on the value of slow-process and “tortoise” mentally (instead of hare).
The conditions today are more vibrant and busy – Mars is in Gemini and Venus is Direct in Aries.
You now have the desire and will to do your magic and make things happen.
Here I picture the toymaker tinkering with his latest invention – brilliant, yet playful and full of joy.
If you have a prominent Aries and early Taurus in your chart, Mercury likely gave you that twinkle in your own life.
It’s very possible that your most fruitful Mercury gift could be the source of frustration and slow progress the past month.
Just because the past was one way, let your mind believe that today and the future could be different.
This creates a sense of freedom for you, which is a wonderful place to create from.. Especially with the affirmation of your Mercury Retrograde story where Mercury helped you get clear on something that mattered.
Now that’s how you complete a Mercury Retrograde mindfully!
Day Guides: May 2-8, 2017
Tuesday: Day can start off with a clashing of personalities and make you feel emotionally sore. Moon in Leo sextiles Mars in Gemini, then squares the Sun. Whatever might bring your anxiety, let it simmer… the evening aspects help you see a bigger picture and care less.
Wednesday: Mercury turns Direct at 12:33pm EDT, helping you let go of inner doubt because your mind tends to lean more forward-thinking when Mercury is direct motion. The Leo Moon continues to make a ton of aspects, influencing many interactions and stimulus. Enjoy the excitement and fun of Leo. It feels like it’s all going to be okay – you’ve got your support system and they have your support.
Thursday: Pressure to get things done and stay on task can build upon itself today. Moon in Virgo, waiting all day to square Mars, can get obsessive and needs to feel a sense of productivity. Do yourself a favor and jot down what you DO get done (remember, small parts), so when the pesky “not enough” voice starts chatting, you have some reality perspective to counter it.
Friday: Moon in Virgo has easier to handle aspects to the other planets during the work day today. Remember to temper your multitasking Mars in Gemini with Taurus lessons of focus and stick-to-it-ness. It’ll help you be productive in a way that matters. You can feel very “worked” after this week, tone down the stimulus and enjoy a homebody Virgo Moon evening can be just the tea you needed.
Saturday: Sleepy morning with a Void Moon 8:42am-2:20pm EDT. Libra Moon opposes Venus and can make you critical of the aesthetic choices in your home. Or, your partner’s ability to understand your emotions. Or, make you want to interact with as many people as possible. Whatever it is, remember to breathe too!
Sunday: Today’s Moon in Libra is optimistic and active. Experiment and be in movement – they can help orient you back to your center, to your opinions, and your options available. There’s a passion to it, so use this potential to make progress on something that will bring your joy and beauty!
Monday: It’s just the nature of the cosmos these days to deal with more anger and unexpected, passionate emotions than normal. Today is no exception. Watch out for distractions and your reactions to unexpected news taking you off-course. Moon in Libra opposes Mercury and Uranus late in the afternoon ET. Build in ways to stay focused today – like setting an alarm for every hour or writing intentions at the beginning and midpoint of your day. Because in the end, the last aspect is a sextile to Saturn, and that shows your efforts can amount to something if you do the work.
